As a National: He led the Nationals to the MLL Finals and led a second-half comeback with three of his four goals… Led the MLL Playoffs with five goals and eight points… The former Syracuse University star is Major League Lacrosse’s all-time leader in points (393)… Had two goals and two assists in his Nationals debut on 8/06/11… Acquired in a trade with the Rochester Rattlers on July 20, 2011… Powell is a two-time MLL Champion, four-time All-Star and is seventh all-time in goals with 199… He won the 2008 MLL Championship with the Rochester Rattlers… Won his third MLL Championship in 2008 this time as a member of the Rochester Rattlers… Became MLL all-time leading scorer on June 10, 2008… Scored 15 goals with 27 assists for 42 points in 12 regular season games…added two goals and three assists for five points in the playoffs… Named the 2007 MLL Offensive Player of Year… Scored 19 goals and added 22 assists for 41 points in only eight regular season games… Was the 2005 MLL Offensive Player of the Year as he scored 26 goals and added 30 assists for 56 points in 10 games… Finished second in MLL in scoring and assists… Named to the All-MLL team… In 2003, he won his second MLL Championship… In 2001, he helped the Long Island Lizards win the inaugural MLL Championship… He was an MLL All-Star, leading the Lizards in points (53) and assists (22), while playing both midfield and attack.
College/Amateur: Named MVP and an All-World Team selection at the 2011 FIL World Indoor Lacrosse Championships, as he led the Americans’ offense with 16 goals and 15 assists in five games... He played for Team USA in the 1998 FIL World Lacrosse Championship and helped the US win gold... Won silver with Team USA at the 2006 World Field Lacrosse Championships in London, Ontario… One of Syracuse's best players of all-time… Powell was a four-time All-American and a two-time National Player of the Year at Syracuse... He helped SU to the 1995 NCAA National Championship and was recognized as a four-time member of the NCAA All-Tournament team… Division I Attackman of the Year in 1998… Casey is tied for second all-time in points at SU with his brother Ryan… Casey amassed 287 points (158+129) for the Orange over four seasons (1994-98)… He was named to Lacrosse Magazine’s All-Century Team.
Other Professional Experience: Completed his ninth season in the National Lacrosse League in 2011… In 119 games, he has 254 goals and 341 assists for 595 points… He is a six-time All-Pro and became the first American to win the league’s MVP award in 2010… Played with the Boston Blazers during the 2011 season… Was a member of the New York/Orlando Titans from 2007-10… He spent the 2003-04 and 2005 National Lacrosse League seasons with the Anaheim Storm… Powell played in Rochester for the Knighthawks during the 1999 and 2000 seasons, posting 21 goals and 37 assists for 58 points in 19 games… Powell was originally the first overall pick of the Rochester Knighthawks of the National Lacrosse League in 1999.
