CAREER
Personal: Majored in physical education.
Other Professional Experience: Won the National Lacrosse League’s Rookie of the Year Award for the 2012 season…. He led all rookies with 76 points on 29 goals and 47 assists… His 29 goals broke the Colorado Mammoth franchise’s single-season rookie record set by Brian Langtry in 2003… Colorado Mammoth’s first-round selection (third overall) in the 2011 NLL Entry Draft… Selected to play in the 2012 NLL All-Star Game.
College/Amateur: Two-time All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) First Team performer in his four-year career at Canisius College… First player in the program’s history to garner All-American honors, as well as the first to be named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List… Finished career ranked sixth in Canisius program history with 98 career goals… 10th in Canisius program history with 129 career points… Three time selection to the All-MAAC First Team… In his junior year (2010), he led the Griffs with 40 points, 25 goals, 15 assists and four man-up-scores… First among MAAC midfielders with 3.08 points per game and 1.92 goals per game… Second on team with 15 caused turnovers and 27 ground balls… In his sophomore year (2009), he placed 21st in the NCAA with 3.17 points per game… Led MAAC in both points per game and goals per game… Named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Second Team and named to the MAAC All-Academic Team… During his freshman year (2008), he became first Canisius athlete to be named All-American and was part of only three freshmen to earn the accolade… Won a silver medal with Team Canada in the U-19 World Field Lacrosse Championships during the summer of 2008, earning MVP and Top Midfielder honors, leading all scorers in the championship game (five goals).
Canadian Box Lacrosse: Won back-to-back Minto Cups (2008 & 2009) with the Orangeville Northmen and was named the Championship’s Most Outstanding Player in 2009… Played in Orangeville from 2007 to 2010… Fifth in scoring in the OLA in 2009 and named the winner of the Jim Veltman Award as the Outstanding Player in the Junior “A” circuit… Named a First Team All-Star and the co-winner of the Dean McLeod Award as the Most Outstanding Player during the playoffs… Was the top scorer in the Junior “B” series in 2006 and 2007… In 2006, he was also named the Outstanding Rookie in Junior “B” lacrosse and the league MVP.
