(Hamilton, April 6)… Hamilton Nationals midfielder Jordan Hall was honored as the Transition Player of the Week for his efforts in the indoor league. Hall, who plays for the Rochester Knighthawks, played a key role in a 19-8 victory over the Boston Blazers.
Hall scored a season-high four goals and collected four loose balls in the win that helped Rochester secure a playoff berth last Saturday. He netted three goals in an eight-goal second quarter to help the Knighthawks take a 9-3 lead. The fourth-year pro now has 19 points (9+10) in his last four games.
“The Boston win was our most complete game of the year. Everyone did their job for 60 minutes,” he said. “Offensively, we really needed a game where we went off. It is getting close to playoffs and we need to start playing our best lacrosse.”
Hall was acquired third overall in the dispersal draft of Orlando Titans players this offseason. Last season, he was named a Second Team All-Pro and led all transition players in assists with 58, finishing fourth overall in the league in the category.
Hall enters his fifth season in the MLL in 2011 and third with the Nationals. Last season, he was tied for second on the team in points with 19 in 12 games. The Vancouver, BC, product won back-to-back MLL titles, winning in 2008 with the Rochester Rattlers and 2009 with the Toronto Nationals.
