SEVEN NATIONALS BATTLING TO REACH INDOOR TITLE GAME

(Hamilton, May 2)… Seven members Major League Lacrosse Hamilton Nationals are still in the hunt for a professional indoor championship. The National Lacrosse League 2011 Playoffs has come down to four teams with the East and West Division Finals Saturday, May 7th. The winners of each game advance to the Championship Game.
In the East Division Final, the Buffalo Bandits (11-6) host the Toronto Rock (11-6) at HSBC Arena at 7:30 p.m. Nationals on the Bandits include forwards Mark Steenhuis and Brett Bucktooth, and injured defenseman Billy Dee Smith. The Rock boast two members of the Nationals in forwards Garrett Billing and Stephan Leblanc. Billings had a six-point night (3+3) in the divisional semifinal win over Rochester. The game airs live on The NLL Network and on TSN2 in Canada. The game will air on VERSUS on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
In the West Division Final, Nationals Geoff Snider and Dan MacRae will suit up for the Calgary Roughnecks (12-5) as they host the Washington Stealth (9-8) at Scotiabank Saddledome at 9:30 p.m. The game will air live on The NLL Network.
The winners of Saturday’s games advance to the Championship Game, to be played on the weekend of May 13-15.
The Nationals open their season on the road on Saturday, May 14th against the Denver Outlaws at 9:00 p.m. Hamilton plays its home opener on Thursday, May 19th at Les Prince Field at Ron Joyce Stadium on the grounds of McMaster University. The 7:30 p.m. contest features the defending MLL Champion Chesapeake Bayhawks.
