NATIONALS TO KICK OFF FIFTH SEASON MAY 4th

The Nationals, who are coming off a 4-10 record, will play their home games at McMaster University. Hamilton has advanced to the MLL Finals in two of the last four seasons, including advancing to the 2011 title game. Dave Huntley returns as the team’s head coach for the first time since the 2010 season. He led the Nats to their only MLL title in 2009.

 

The Nationals’ schedule includes a School Day Game for the second straight season. Last season’s game drew a season-high crowd in excess of 3,000 fans. In 2013, Hamilton will host the Charlotte Hounds at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 17th. The game is part of a two-game homestand, which is the first of three this season.

 

The schedule also includes the Nationals’ longest road trip in team history. The first of four straight road games takes Hamilton to Ohio to take on the Machine on Thursday, May 23rd. Hamilton then travels to battle the defending champion Chesapeake Bayhawks on Saturday, June 1st. The final two trips land the Nationals in Denver on Saturday, June 8th and in New York to play the Lizards on Thursday, June 13th.

 

Hamilton concludes the season by playing three of their final four games at home. The Nationals’ regular-season home finale features the Denver Outlaws in a 7:00 p.m. contest on Saturday, August 10th.

 

All of the eight teams (Boston Cannons, Charlotte Hounds, Chesapeake Bayhawks, Denver Outlaws, Hamilton Nationals, New York Lizards, Ohio Machine and Rochester Rattlers), will play each other twice for a balanced season of 56 games that will culminate in Championship Weekend at PPL Park in Chester, Pa. August 24th and 25th.
