(February 5, 2013)… The Hamilton Nationals boast two of the top five scorers in the professional indoor league with Garrett Billings and Rhys Duch among the top scorers in the National Lacrosse League.
Billings leads the NLL with 27 assists and 36 points in six games for the East Division leading Toronto Rock. In the summer of 2012, Billings had a breakout season in Major League Lacrosse. He notched 14 goals and 12 assists (26 points) for the Hamilton Nationals.
Duch is second in the NLL with 15 goals and is fifth in the league with 28 points in six games for the Washington Stealth. In his rookie MLL season, he scored seven goals and added six assists. On August 11th, he had he showcased his offensive ability as he recorded a career-high five goals as part of a seven-point game. Duch was the Hamilton Nationals’ second-round selection (11th overall) in the 2012 MLL Supplemental Draft.
The Nationals are back for their fifth season in Major League Lacrosse. The Nats will kick off their 2013 schedule on Saturday, May 4th against the Boston Cannons. The home opener is set for Saturday, May 11th against the New York Lizards.
