NATIONALS CLAIM 15 PLAYERS

The Hamilton Nationals announced today that the team has claimed 15 players from the Major League Lacrosse Player Pool. The list includes Nate Watkins, Brian Vetter, Christian Scuderi, Charles McComas, Joey Kemp, Sean Delaney, Jimmy Dunster, Josh Cittadino, Josh Coveleski, Zack Howell, MJ Kiekebelt, Jack McBride, Kenny Nims, Brandon Spillett and Joel Zalesky.
Watkins has the most MLL experience in the group, having played nine seasons. The midfielder has 72 points and 148 ground balls in 96 games in his career. Goalie Joey Kemp also has some game experience, seeing action in four seasons, which included a two-year stint with the Chesapeake Bayhawks (2011-12).
The Nationals have also brought back two players from last season in Spillett and Kiekebelt, who both appeared in one game in 2012. McBride (North Carolina) was also a 2012 MLL Collegiate Draft pick of the Nationals, while Nims (Syracuse) was a 2012 MLL Supplemental pick by Hamilton.
The Nationals are back for their fifth season in Major League Lacrosse. The Nats will kick off their 2013 schedule on Saturday, May 4th against the Boston Cannons. The home opener is set for Saturday, May 11th against the New York Lizards.
